Registration of electricity supply
Take advantage now and start saving with our low-cost electricity supplier when you sign up.
The companies in charge of registering the electricity supply are the distributors. There is a deep-rooted belief that it is the distributors who take care of these formalities, but the person we should talk to is our supplier or investigate which supplier is most convenient for us and let them manage everything.
As a user, you may need to register your electricity supply. Whether it is a new home or premises for a commercial activity, the first step is to find out if the home has an electrical installation or not.
If there is no electrical installation, you will have to carry out the necessary work by contacting an electrical installer who will give you a signed paper authorising that everything is correct. This document is known as an Electrical Bulletin and it has a cost apart from the work carried out.
If your home or premises already have an electrical installation, you only need to register for electricity. You can do this in person or by telephone.

What do I need to register for electricity?
Signing up for electricity is a simple procedure that requires you to present the holder’s personal details, such as ID number, address and the account to which the bill is to be paid by direct debit.
You will also be asked to present the certificate of the electrical installation mentioned above, i.e. the Boletín Eléctrico (Electrical Bulletin).
If the situation arises in which the electricity installation has been done but you do not have the bulletin or it is out of date, you can call an electrician to check it and give his consent by signing the bulletin.
Another necessary document is the CUPS.
The CUPS is the document issued by the electricity distribution company when you register for the first time.
If you want to save yourself the paperwork, contact one of our advisors, who will offer you a personalised solution, after studying what you need.

How do I know how much power I have to contract?
It is normal that as users we do not know how much power we need to contract in our homes or businesses.
If, for example, you are going to open an office, you will need to calculate the number of computers and other electrical equipment that need to be connected to the supply at the same time and how much power each one requires.
For this reason, it is best to get advice from an expert in the sector, who will help you to calculate it so that you do not fall short or over-contract and pay for excess power that you will not need.
What type of electricity tariff is best for me?
Each supplier works with different distributors and can offer you different tariffs according to your situation.
Changing your electricity tariff is a simple procedure that will save you money from day one. You can call to make an appointment with an energy advisor who will see you personally and, after studying the power consumption you need, will propose the different tariffs that best suit your needs.
Competitive prices and not paying for a higher power than you really need will be decisive in saving money on your electricity bill.
